We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and relaxing cabin experience. The following policies have been established based on industry standards and operational procedures. These rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you. As our guest, by reading and checking "agree" when you reserve online, you agree to abide by all of our policies, rules, terms and conditions. This is presented here to help promote our guests' safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between the Flying Moon Cabins and the guest.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION:
Please ensure that you receive a reservation confirmation via email upon making a reservation. These confirmations are promptly sent after your transaction is successfully completed. To be eligible for a full refund, reservations must be cancelled at least two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date. If cancellation occurs between 6 and 13 days before your arrival, the second half of the bill will not be charged. However, if cancellation takes place within 5 days of the arrival date, the entire bill will be charged. It is important to note that any refunds issued will be the amount due minus a 5% non-refundable booking fee. We do not make exceptions to our cancellation policy. In the event that we are unable to accommodate you due to property-related issues such as plumbing problems, mechanical failures, flooding, or fire, you will be promptly refunded for your stay. However, please be aware that we are not responsible for any other travel arrangements you may have made. Flying Moon Cabin Limited Liability Company cannot be held accountable for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes. It is not uncommon to experience snow, rain, high winds, extreme temperatures, and smoke in the Colorado mountains. Please purchase travel insurance if you would like the option to cancel your trip and recieve a refund for any reason (e.g. click here).
If snow is forecasted, it is mandatory to have a 4WD or AWD vehicle. Even if no snow is forecast during your stay, there is snow pack and ice in Winter and Spring that could make driving a 2WD vehicle difficult or impossible. It is a ticketable offense to drive a 2WD car on I-70 in the winter while it is snowing or when the roads are packed with snow.
We do not refund or reschedule due to the aformentioned situtations or anything related to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
For our peace of mind, we don't make exceptions to our policy. For your peace of mind, get yourself a credit card that has travel insurane included (we use Chase Slate) or purchase insurance for your trip.
Group Reservations or Reservations Longer than 7 days.
Large group/whole property reservations and reservations longer than 7 days must be cancelled 21 days prior to arrival date. If reservations are cancelled less than 21 days before the arrival date, your deposit may be held. If cancelled within 5 days of check-in, whole bill will be charged.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to check in at Flying Moon Cabins. In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, guests can only check-in using their special 4 digit code that was sent via e-mail. Check-in time is 3:00pm and cabin rental expires at 11:00am on the last day of your reservation. Due to the nature of our cleaning and maintenance services, check-in and out times can not be adjusted.
This is a historic property built in 1951. Many updates have been made to the property but the structure and many of the finishes are original. The floorboards creak, the heaters squeek and the cabins are not furnished with modern appliances, microwaves, hair dryers, irons or TV. There are stairs leading into each cabin, there are imperfections and other rustic qualities that are not up to modern standards or code. Please watch your step and be careful on the landscape, as it is rugged and wild. There are many species of wild life that visit the property, do not approach them or feed them.
Flying Moon Limited Liability Company is not responsible for injury.
Do not, under any circumstance, flush anything other than toilet paper and bodily waste down the toilets. Do not put food or trash down any drains. We are on a septic system and it will back up if any of the forementioned incidents occur.
Cabins are open all year. They are are heated September - June (heaters are not operational in the Summer months). We recommend 4WD or AWD to make your trip and do not make exceptions to our cancellation policy based on winter weather.

No unregistered guests can visit the cabins unless approval is granted in advance.
We do not host children. The property is not fit for children under the age of 12.

Please do not leave your dogs unaccompanied for any reason in the cabins and use leash while on the outdoor property at all times. This is shared property and for that reason, we ask that only quiet, non-reactive dogs visit the cabins. If your dog is loud and reactive to other dogs and humans, this is not an accomadation match. No other pets besides dogs are allowed on the property. If your cat or other pet accompanies you to your reservation, a $200 fee will be added to your bill.
Room occupancy requirements are based on fire code/fire safety restrictions and well water permitting use. Max cabin occupancy is 2 adults. If you exceed the maximum number of guests allowed, you will be asked to rent another cabin for proper accommodations or vacate the cabins.
You will be given a door code five days before your reservation via e-mail.
